How I Write Prompts — the 11-Element Method

A prompt here is never a pile of keywords. Every cut is designed first: the scene is decomposed into eleven named elements — who receives, who acts, what the contact deforms, what the camera can physically see — and only then translated into one English scene description. Every cut of the six illustrated stories on this site was written this way. Below, the method is demonstrated end-to-end on three pieces designed and generated specifically for this page.

11 named elements per cut design first, words second all 140 story cuts written this way

The eleven elements

The schema below is the exact legend stored in the story production database. The same schema runs across all my work — for action scenes the roles sharpen (attacker / receiver), for quiet scenes they generalize (the girl's gesture / the creature that receives it).

artArt style — one shared constant per work, never rewritten per cut
lookThe character's fixed appearance (kept identical across every cut)
recvThe receiver — the creature or person the action lands on
atkThe act — touch, hold, carry, bestow (not necessarily an attack)
exprExpression — including where the gaze physically points
fluidEffects — light, powder snow, sparks, spray, fluids
bondContact — written as deformation: fur pressed in, fingers sinking
compComposition — declare frame occupancy first (who owns which part of the frame)
camCamera — written as a viewpoint phrase; never the word 'camera' (it materializes as an object)
bgBackground — short; piling scenery words pulls the shot wide
negNegative — quality control only; never used to fight the positive prompt

Live demonstration — three pieces made for this page

To show the method end-to-end, these three pieces were designed with the 11 elements and then generated, specifically for this page — no reuse from other galleries. The girl's look element is one fixed sentence across all three (that is what the look element is for). Three takes were generated per design and the keeper chosen by eye. Hover the numbered pins — or the rows — to see which words put which thing where.

designed → generated for this page one shared look sentence × 3 pieces 3 takes each, keeper picked by eye

A. “The Water Dragon's Greeting” — contact written as deformation

A traveller girl kneels at a mountain lake while a glass-clear water dragon presses its brow to her palm
1expr
her eyes closed softly, a small smile, her face tilted down toward the dragon
2bond
the clear water of its brow dimpling around her fingers
3recv
a slender eastern-style water dragon, its body clear and pale blue like flowing glass, fins like thin veils
4fluid
water streams off the dragon's jaw and ripples spread from where its neck breaks the surface
5bg
a mountain lake at dawn, pale mist over the water, quiet light
·cam
a low view from across the water, just above the lake surface
·comp
she kneels at the lower left; her arm reaching toward the centre where the dragon's head meets her hand
·look
a young traveller girl, chestnut hair in a low braid over one shoulder, hazel eyes, a white blouse and dark green skirt, a worn leather satchel strap across her chest
·atk
the dragon presses its brow into her open palm; she holds one palm out to meet it
·art
cel-look anime
画風=セルルックAnime(系統表記・実演3枚で共通)
·neg
worst quality, low quality, bad anatomy, extra limbs, extra fingers, missing fingers, deformed, mutated, fused fingers, nsfw, nude, text, watermark, signature, multiple views, split panel, chibi
What the takes taught: all three takes kept the closed eyes and the palm-to-brow meeting; this keeper also landed the ripples exactly where the neck breaks the surface. One other take drifted the blouse into a sailor collar — look drift is what re-rolls are for.
▸ Full production prompt (base / char1 / char2 / negatives)
base: a low view from across the water, just above the lake surface: a slender water dragon has risen from the lake and presses its brow into the girl's open palm, the clear water of its brow dimpling around her fingers; she kneels at the lower left on a flat stone at the water's edge, her arm reaching toward the centre where the dragon's head meets her hand; water streams off the dragon's jaw and ripples spread from where its neck breaks the surface; a mountain lake at dawn, pale mist over the water, quiet light char1: a young traveller girl, chestnut hair in a low braid over one shoulder, hazel eyes, a white blouse and dark green skirt, a worn leather satchel strap across her chest, kneeling on a flat stone at the water's edge, one palm held out to the dragon's brow, her eyes closed softly, a small smile, her face tilted down toward the dragon char2: a slender eastern-style water dragon risen from the lake, its long neck arched down, its body clear and pale blue like flowing glass, fins like thin veils, its brow pressed to her palm neg: worst quality, low quality, bad anatomy, extra limbs, extra fingers, missing fingers, deformed, mutated, fused fingers, nsfw, nude, text, watermark, signature, multiple views, split panel, chibi / char1側: beast girl, animal ears on the girl, tail on the girl, scales on the girl / char2側: human, humanoid, wings, fur, western dragon, aggressive, bared fangs, two heads

B. “Market Morning in the Royal Capital” — declaring frame occupancy

A fantasy market street receding to the right; the traveller girl stands lower left, shading her eyes
1comp
a market street that owns the right two thirds of the frame and recedes deep; the girl stands at the lower left, half turned away
2cam
from under a stall awning slightly above head height, looking down the street
3atk
pausing mid-stride with a hand raised to shade her eyes, its shadow falling across her own face
4fluid
shafts of morning light falling through hung cloth with dust motes drifting
5recv
a vendor's cat suns itself on a crate beside her, its eyes on the girl
·expr
her mouth slightly open in wonder, her eyes up at the banners
·bg
a fantasy royal-capital market street, hanging banners and spice stalls in white stone
·look
a young traveller girl, chestnut hair in a low braid over one shoulder, hazel eyes, a white blouse and dark green skirt, a worn leather satchel strap across her chest
·bond
no physical contact in this frame — the shadow of her raised hand falling across her own face stands in for it
·art

画風=セルルックAnime(系統表記・実演3枚で共通)
·neg
worst quality, low quality, bad anatomy, extra limbs, extra fingers, missing fingers, deformed, mutated, fused fingers, nsfw, nude, text, watermark, signature, multiple views, split panel, chibi
What the takes taught: the two-thirds occupancy and the awning viewpoint landed in every take — occupancy sentences are reliable. The cat, though, obeyed in only one take out of three (here it wandered off its crate onto the street). Small props are the lowest-yield words; that is exactly why every take gets an eye check.
▸ Full production prompt (base / char1 / char2 / negatives)

C. “The Familiar Exam” — one event written from both sides

A girl casts her first light spell at a magic academy while a small owl familiar braces on a cushion
1atk
casting her first light spell from a short wand held in both hands
2fluid
a wobbling ball of warm light hanging in the centre of the frame with small sparks drifting off it
3recv
a small horned-owl familiar bracing on a cushion with both wings raised against the glare, its talons denting the cushion it grips
4expr
one eye squeezed shut and the other peeking open, her brows tight

a magic-academy practice room, chalk circles on slate walls
·cam

·bond
its talons denting the cushion it grips
·art
cel-look anime
画風=セルルックAnime(系統表記・実演3枚で共通)
·neg
worst quality, low quality, bad anatomy, extra limbs, extra fingers, missing fingers, deformed, mutated, fused fingers, nsfw, nude, text, watermark, signature, multiple views, split panel, chibi
What the takes taught: the three-thirds layout, the wobbling light and the owl's raised wings landed in all three takes. The subtlest phrase — “one eye squeezed shut and the other peeking” — came out as an open-mouthed gasp in this keeper. Expression micro-detail is the hardest element to land; when it matters most, it gets its own close-up cut instead.
▸ Full production prompt (base / char1 / char2 / negatives)

The same method, sharpened — the prompt WIKI (18+)

This method was originally forged on mature works, where every proven cut is stored in a personal WIKI: decomposed into the 11 elements as English–Japanese pairs, tagged along 12 axes (position, act, camera angle, framing...), rated, and reused as templates. Real WIKI entries — image plus full element breakdown — are shown in the adults-only wing.
